We continue the series on Revelation: Till the Bridegroom Returns. We now come across the 7 trumpets. Within the blasts of the 7 trumpets there is a series of death, destruction and chaos. You may notice that these warning signs that follow the trumpet blasts look similar to the plagues in Egypt. The symbol of the scroll continues in this passage, and its importance is magnified. The scroll is taken to the earth and as a result, there is prophecy and witness to what God has done. Amid this interesting (to say the least) passage, there is a clear proclamation of the gospel and a call to the church.
