Fifth is an intergenerational congregation, and we believe that is exactly what God wants it to be. We also believe that Christians who are retired and ready for action have a crucial role to play in advancing our purpose of “growing disciples who make disciples.”
If you are looking for a place to connect and fellowship with other senior adults in the church, Senior Adults at Fifth (SAF) may be right for you! This group typically meets from September through June, for a variety of programs. The monthly events are open to all retirees and seniors in the area. You are invited and so very welcome!!
Many of our senior adults also participate in volunteer activities within the church: calling on the home bound, helping serve food for other occasions, providing transportation to those who can no longer drive, sending out cards to homebound members, singing in the choir, and as greeters. The SAF monthly offering goes to support the ministries of Mulick Park Elementary School and Words of Hope. We always welcome new seniors to join.
We want to glorify God, enjoy Him, and make Him known.
