Fifth has an active student ministry with two primary programs. Our high school group is called YAF (Youth at Fifth), and our middle school group is called JHAF (Junior High at Fifth).
Our student ministry helps students build a relationship with the Lord and teaches students how they can follow Christ on their own. Christ is present in the teaching, in the relationships with mentors, in service to the community, and in the introduction to the broader church. Retreats and mission trips are organized to get students to think about what it looks like to serve the Lord. Intergenerational relationships are vital for a young person’s relationship with Jesus, so students are consistently connected with the broader church. Adults outside of student ministries are invited to mentor students, share their faith journeys at large group gatherings, and host small groups of students for dinner in their homes. Below is the schedule of events for Winter/Spring 2023. Middle and high school students meet every Sunday night from 6-8 PM during the school year and there are a few outside events each semester.
