Thanksgiving Special Offering

As autumn leaves fall and the harvest is gathered, our thoughts turn to preparations for Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving Offering this year will be used for the Benevolence Fund and The Van Church Network. The Benevolence Fund receives its funding only from designated gifts (not from the budget). The money is used to assist members of the Fifth community with urgent financial needs. The needs are often for things that many of us take for granted each day, such as shelter, clothing, and transportation. Also, a portion of the Thanksgiving offering will be designated for the Van Church Network. They are spreading the Gospel in a difficult place and have recently started work to plant their fourth church in Eastern Turkey.

You continue to be faithful in supporting all of Fifth’s ministries. Please prayerfully consider how you can respond to these requests with your financial gifts. Deacons will receive Thanksgiving offerings on Sunday night, November 22, and Thursday morning, November 26. You can also make a gift online or mail a check to the church office with “Thanksgiving Offering” on the memo line.
