Thanksgiving Special Offering

Thanksgiving Special Offering
As autumn leaves fall and the harvest is gathered, our thoughts turn to preparations for Thanksgiving. The Deacons will direct our Thanksgiving offerings taken on the evening of November 23 and the morning of November 27 toward the needs specified by two of our global mission partners.
In N*p*l, in addition to the church planting that is going extremely well, the need for three girls’ homes is being met to house and educate 24 girls from ages 4 to 14, who have been abused, exploited, or trafficked. There is always a need for funds to care for these little ones, overseen by V*m*, Y*k*v’s wife.
In Madagascar, the prisons are overflowing due to the very slow judicial system and poverty. People are kept until trial for even stealing food, which can be months or even years. Tamar D*J*ng is galvanizing the local church and authorities into action with the help of funds we and others have sent in the past. The next step is a sustainable prison farm to enable nutritious crops. All this work is being done in the name of Jesus.
You continue to be faithful in supporting all of Fifth’s ministries. Please prayerfully consider how you can respond to these requests with your financial gifts. Deacons will receive Thanksgiving offerings on Sunday night, November 23, and Thursday morning, November 27. You can also make a gift online or mail a check to the church office with “Thanksgiving Offering” on the memo line.
