THE PROGRAM

Our program focuses on serving 2nd-5th grade students who are below grade level in reading. Mentors meet with their mentees for one hour sessions once a week during the school day. The sessions focus on five parts of literacy that have been identified by research as essential for literary success. Mulick trains mentors in different activities so they know how to practice these skills with their mentees.

PHONICS; WRITING; FLUENCY; VOCABULARY; COMPREHENSION
