Table Hospitality and Communion with the Body of Christ – March 29
Table Hospitality and Communion with the Body of Christ
An Allergen-Friendly Communion Bread Making Class
Saturday | March 29 | 2:00 – 3:30 PM
One of the two sacraments Christians celebrate together is Communion at the Table of our Lord, who is himself the Bread of Life. Part of this act of communing at the Table is bringing all of who we are and meeting our Lord within the body of Christ. This class will teach you how to make a Communion loaf of bread from scratch that will allow anyone with the 5 primary allergens (at least) to commune together, from the same loaf, at the same Table of Christ. We’ll discuss common allergens, how to avoid cross-contamination, and other allergy issues easily and safely!
Also, this time will be spent physically making bread together and tasting delicious loaves as well. This class will be taught by Tori Longfield, the wife of Nathan Longfield, Fifth’s Woodland Drive-In, who has been making allergen-friendly bread for over 10 years.
