Read the Bible in a Year

March –

In 2024, our church is reading through the entire Bible together. This month, we finish Deuteronomy and move into the books of history starting with Joshua through 1 Samuel. These books show God’s work building a nation from a band of refugees to a country with a king. Join now by signing up for a daily email at www.woh.org/Fifth, or by picking up a copy of Read the Bible in a Year at the counter in the Information Corridor.

February –

In 2024, our church is reading through the entire Bible together. This month, we are reading Numbers and Deuteronomy. The first five books of the Bible take time to read, but they are foundational to understanding God’s law. Join now by signing up for a daily email at www.woh.org/Fifth, or by picking up a copy of Read the Bible in a Year at the counter in the Information Corridor.

January –

In 2024, Fifth Church is engaged in the big project of reading through the entire Bible together, from Genesis to Revelation. You are invited to participate!

We are using Read the Bible in a Year, a daily reading guide, and devotional from Words of Hope. You can participate by signing up HERE for a daily email that will begin on January 1 or by picking up your copy of Read the Bible in a Year at church. They are available at the counter in the Lobby Corridor and cost $10 each. Also available at the counter is a hard copy of the daily reading schedule. Click HERE for a PDF version.

You can also use the Words of Hope Mobile app on your phone or tablet, developed by Fifth member David Lange’s students at GVSU! Find it on Google Play or the App Store.

Sign up today so that you have everything you need to get started on January 1. However, if you wait, you are still welcome! You can jump in and join at any time.

And finally, a word of encouragement. Reading through the Bible can feel a little intimidating—but it only takes 15 minutes each day. The included daily devotional will help you understand what you are reading, and apply it to your life. And you will have the benefit of our church community sharing the journey with you.
